Free Shipping

All orders (including sale and closeout items) qualify for Free Standard Shipping.

For better shipping timeliness, customers are able to update the Free Standard Shipping into Premium Shipping by paying for postage difference.

 

Shipping Time

Orders will ship out once ALL items can be fulfilled within the purchase. Packages will ship out according to the LATEST pre-order date unless stated otherwise.

The time frame for order delivery is divided into two parts:

Processing time: Order verification, quality check, and packing. Orders will be shipped out within 1 to 5 business days from the day of purchase.

Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from our fulfillment center to the destination.

Standard Shipping (8-25 business days)

Premium Shipping (3-15 business days)

*The standard day of the standard refers to the working day, does not include the date of receipt, and does not include weekends and holidays. The actual delivery time is subject to the destination zip code. In the case of remote areas or suburbs, flight delays, customs clearance, etc., the transit time will be expected longer.

* Premium Shipping cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or military addresses. We could only ship to P.O. Boxes and military addresses (APO, FPO) address via Standard Shipping method.

* Above shipping times are estimates quoted by our courier companies, so Enlavo cannot be liable or held responsible for any delays after dispatch. Delays do happen occasionally due to uncontrollable factors, but please be assured that Enlavo will do our best to limit any inconveniences that may arise.

A plague doctor was a physician who treated victims of the bubonic plague.] In times of epidemics, these physicians were specifically hired by towns where the plague had taken hold. Since the city was paying their salary, they treated everyone, wealthy or poor.Some plague doctors wore a special costume. The garments were invented by Charles de L'Orme in 1630 and were first used in Naples, but later spread to be used throughout Europe. The protective suit consisted of a light, waxed fabric overcoat, a mask with glass eye openings and a beak shaped nose, typically stuffed with herbs, straw, and spices. Plague doctors would also commonly carry a cane to examine and direct patients without the need to make direct contact with them.

“The nose [is] half a foot long, shaped like a beak, filled with perfume… Under the coat, we wear boots made in Moroccan leather (goat leather)…and a short-sleeved blouse in smooth skin…The hat and gloves are also made of the same skin…with spectacles over the eyes.”

The doctor carried a long wooden stick which he used to communicate with his patients, examine them, and occasionally ward off the more desperate and aggressive ones. By other accounts, patients believed the plague to be a punishment sent from God and requested the plague doctor whip them in repentance.
